Johannespassion J.S. Bach

Music for at home

da flura tier flur’

After a five-year interval, we have again produced a CD. As a preparation for the competitions in Lucca und Lisbon, we have recorded songs from the competition categories youth choir, sacred music and folklore. Many of the songs are written and sung in Romansh since we consider ourselves as cultural ambassadors of our homeland and want to carry our heritage into the wider world. With these songs, we won two category victories as well as the overall victory in Lucca.

Concertare

«To contend, to compete» – we centred on these two words with incantanti's projects for the year 2017. For the fifteenth anniversary of our vocal ensemble, we produced a second anniversary CD with songs from our «Turnea da Concurrenza». The list of songs comprises works in the genres of sacred music, gospel & spirituals, modern world literature as well as works by Grisonian composers.

Benedetg Dolf

The project 'There sleeps a song in all things' produced a CD which contains songs from the various creative phases of Benedetg Dolf, a composer originating from the Schams valley. Listeners will find pearls of Grisonian folk music which - undeserverdly - have not gained public awareness. Another highlight is the song 'Sept Comptines de l’Oiselie' by Genevan composer Jean Binet, accompanied by the clarinetist Josias Just.

Perlas Rumantschas III

The cultural variety of our country is characterized by our four national languages, which represent a central aspect of our identity. In order to contribute to the preservation of this diversity, we attempt to revitalize Romansh songs. For this purpose, choral compositions for brass bands and mixed choir by well-known and less well-known composers and arrangers from all over Switzerland were newly arranged.

Sulegl VIII

Two years after «da flura tier flur», the vocal ensemble incantanti returned to Andeer in September 2024 to record the new album. The result is «Sulegl VIII», a work that combines the wonderful vocal worlds of the young singers with the ensemble's regional ties and international outlook.
